“Best Places” award goes to The Brand Leader for second straight year

TBL was named for the second consecutive year as a Best Place to Work in South Carolina. Now in its seventeenth year, business publisher SC Biz News created this program in partnership with the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce and Best Companies Group to identify, recognize, and honor the best employers in the state of South Carolina.

“It’s one thing to win awards for our work,” said Kyle Duford, Executive Creative Director. “But it’s a whole new ball game when it comes to our workplace culture. This is truly a reflection of our people and tireless commitment to placing them first.”

The 2022 winning companies were announced earlier this week and include 119 total companies across the state that entered a two-part survey process to determine the Best Places to Work in South Carolina. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics. The second part consisted of a confidential employee survey to measure the employee experience. The official rankings will be announced on Aug. 18th at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center during the annual awards ceremony.

Since winning their first award in 2021 — and subsequently, another Best Place to Work from Outside magazine — the award-winning creative team at The Brand Leader has expanded to just under 30 staff and onto an international stage, winning bids from clients across the country and in Europe. “As we have grown,” said Founder/CEO Geoff Wasserman, “we’ve doubled in size, sure, but we have doubled-down on what matters to us as individuals, and that’s what makes a great culture.”

"We’ve tried to create a place where collaboration lives in a way where individuals help one another while they jointly serve the needs of a client."

“We’ve tried to create a place where collaboration lives in a way where individuals help one another while they jointly serve the needs of a client,” continued Duford. “As a growing advertising agency into our third decade,, we try to practice that spirit of boundless collaboration. I firmly believe in growing people, and if we succeed there, we can succeed anywhere.”
