TBL’s Work Recognized by the Advertising Industry’s Largest Competition
GREENVILLE, SC, March 9, 2023 – The Brand Leader (TBL) won four awards for their creative work from the Greenville chapter of the American Advertising Federation (AAF), and Kyle Duford, TBL’s President and Executive Creative Director, was honored with the organization’s prestigious Silver Medal Award.
The annual AAF Awards is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative program of its type, and winning ads crafted by agencies and corporate marketing groups from the Greenville area will advance to the next round of this national competition.
TBL won AAF Awards in the following categories:
- Gold Award for Agency Self Promotion – “TBL Recipe Books & Miir Mugs”
- Gold Award for Integrated Advertising Campaign – “Erem ‘The Earth Called’ Campaign”
- Silver Award for Packaging – “Megmeister Drynamo Packaging”
- Silver Award for Internet Commercial – “Spero Anderson University Sponsorship Video”
Mr. Duford was presented with the AAF's most distinguished individual honor, the Silver Medal Award. The AAF established the Silver Medal Program in 1959 to recognize men and women who have made outstanding contributions to advertising and have been active in furthering the industry's standards, creative excellence, and responsibility in areas of social concern. Annually, the AAF bestows this national honor upon outstanding members of the advertising community. The AAF Silver Medal is considered the equivalent of a lifetime achievement award.
The advertising industry in Greenville has been creating compelling work that rivals that of any New York City agency for decades.
“The advertising industry in Greenville has been creating compelling work that rivals that of any New York City agency for decades, as evidenced by the number of national and international clients now being represented by agencies in town,” says Ty Thornhill, Vice President of Client Services at TBL. “To be recognized for the work we do that helps advance our client’s brands, and business goals is very rewarding.”
Mr. Thornhill added that entering the competition not only benefits the winners. He pointed out that proceeds from the AAF Awards are used to enhance the advertising industry through programs such as public service, internships, advocacy groups, advertising education, and consumer awareness.
